Hi! I’m Michaela.
I’m an organizer, coach, and strategist with 15 years of experience in the social change sector. I spent the first decade of my career putting everything I had into work—without leaving much room for rest or joy. When burnout pushed me to the point of crisis, I knew I needed to reevaluate how I was showing up to my work and my life.
Coaching helped me reconnect with clarity and purpose, and I saw how transformative that could be for others doing purpose-driven work. Now, I love to support changemakers to build the clarity, confidence, and capacity to put their passion and skills toward what’s most meaningful, without losing themselves in the process.
Over the last decade, I’ve worked inside nonprofit organizations as a leader, people and strategic operations specialist, trainer, and facilitator. I’ve guided teams through culture change and strategic planning processes, helping ensure shifts are intentional, equitable, and embedded into everyday operations.
I approach all my work with connection, curiosity, and care, and have a knack for connecting strategy to action, turning big-picture vision into structures that make change sustainable. I bring humor and lightness to the hard work of change, grounded in a deep commitment to justice and equity, and a fierce belief that a better world–rooted in care, joy, and community–is possible.
I’m an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation and a graduate of the Academy for Coaching Excellence and Green Corps, the field school for environmental organizing. My approach to leading groups and social change is deeply influenced by Emergent Strategy by adrienne maree brown.
When I’m not working, you can find me hiking with my family, building community in my neighborhood, reading, collaging, or playing the ukulele.
